MACTA Vs Producers: Any Way out?

Kerala Film Producers Association decided to suspend film production indefinitely from July 31 in protest against what they described the "unviable" demands of the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA).

After the Producers Association announced suspension of production work, MACTA said they would stop production and post-production work of films from June 15.

Kerala Film Exhibitors' Federation is willing to act as a mediator between MACTA and Kerala Film Producers Association for solving the issue.

ഇവര് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് എന്തിനാ വഴക്കുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതെന്നു പോലും പിടി കിട്ടുന്നില്ല! ഒരു കാര്യം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു പറയാം: കുത്തഴിഞ്ഞ ഒരു വ്യവസായമാണ് മലയാളത്തിലെ സിനിമാനിര്മാണം. മാര്ക്കറ്റിനേക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു ബോധവുമില്ലാത്ത നിര്മാതാക്കളും സംവിധായകരും അഭിനേതാക്കളും ഇത്രയധികം തടിച്ചുകൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന മറ്റൊരു നാടും ലോകത്തു വേറെ കാണില്ല!
